Deadlifts & Push-ups

    • 10 x Deadlift, 75-95/5-65 (35-45) pound
    • 10 push-ups
    Time limit: 20 minutes

    Mobility Homework Getting Ready  For Strongman. Hip tweaking Getting the femur deeper into the socket.
    Test: Deadlift starting position.
    3 minutes x 2 positions each leg = 12 minutes total.

    1. Knee-through-butt, externally rotate, block with other knee; bias with band out the side.
    2. Samson on steroids: band high on back leg diagonally forward from leg; bias front corner with elbow overhead.

    1. CW: 14:03 75# deadlifts never slowed me down. Perhaps 95 would have been better. I didn't have a lot of pushups in me; I couldn't do the first round unbroken. I scaled the 2nd round to a bench. From round 6 on, ring pushups, set about hip-high. Fun. It was nice to see Meg back at the gym! Just one more Onramp for Stephanie, woohoo!

    2. 55# Deadlifts. 10 rounds. 12:18. The pushups got really haaaaaaard at the end....!!! I did them all strict, though. A good work.

    3. 35# deadlifts, kneeling pushups, 5 rounds-6:12. Okay never want to vacation from working out again. 2 and 1/2 weeks off made Meg a sore girl the next day. Looking forward to getting back up to speed so I can try to keep up with Kirsten 'super buff' White better. I really missed working out with you guys! Glad to be back.
